چکیده
Increasing the thermal insulation of building components to reduce energy loss buildings has received significant attention. Owing its porous structure, using expanded vermiculite as an alternative natural river sand in development materials would result improvement performance buildings. This study investigates properties fly ash (FA)-based geopolymer mortars prepared with vermiculite. The main aim this was produce mortar lower conductivity than conventional for applications A total twelve batches geopolymers were evaluating their different properties. obtained results show that, at a given FA and content, 10 molar NaOH solution exhibited higher flowability, water absorption porosity, well dry unit weight, compressive strength, ultrasound pulse velocity compared those 15 solution. As is also shown, containing (15%) developed flowability (~6%), weight strength (~7%), (~6%) (~18%), apparent porosity (~9%) without content concentration. findings suggest that incorporating FA-based can provide eco-friendly lightweight composites improved sound properties, contributing toward reduction environmental effects waste conservation sand.

Acid Resistance of Fly ash based Geopolymer mortars
Geopolymers are a new promising binder manufactured by activation of a solid aluminosilicate source material with a highly alkaline activating solution and aided by heat. Fly ash, considered to be a waste material is rich in silica and alumina and hence can be used as a source material for manufacture of Geopolymers. These binders have been reported to achieve high early strength and better dur...

Considering the increasing demand for developing alternative construction materials, due to the growing environmental concerns, this paper discusses the feasibility of alkali activated geo-polymer concrete, as a future construction material. The main objective of this study involves observation of structural behaviours of the fresh fly ash-based geo-polymer concrete, understanding the basic mix...
متن کاملFly Ash-Based Geopolymer Mortar Incorporating Bottom Ash
This paper presents the results of study on effect of various parameters on mechanical properties of fly ash-based geopolymer mortar with bottom ash as partial or full replacement for sand. Compressive strength of samples with 10% bottom ash (BA) was comparable to those with only sand. Further increase in bottom ash content decreased the compressive strength. However, the reverse tendency occur...
متن کاملFly Ash-based Geopolymer Lightweight Concrete Using Foaming Agent
In this paper, we report the results of our investigation on the possibility of producing foam concrete by using a geopolymer system. Class C fly ash was mixed with an alkaline activator solution (a mixture of sodium silicate and NaOH), and foam was added to the geopolymeric mixture to produce lightweight concrete. The NaOH solution was prepared by dilute NaOH pellets with distilled water. The ...
متن کاملProduction geopolymer materials by coal fly ash
Coal ash is the main waste from power plant. It is estimated that the consumption of the coal for power plant will increase to 240 million tons each year and the coal ash wastes will produce more than 2 million tons per year. Although the utilization of coal fly ash can be reached 74.1%, large amount of coal fly ash and bottom ash still cannot be utilized. The purpose of this research is to dev...
